Experience
I've tutored high school students in Algebra I, Spanish I and II and English. I've worked with ESL students teaching English as a second language, and was given the opportunity to be a Peer Academic Leader at UNCG and provide aid in Spanish I and II in college as well as psychology, religion, anthropology and history. I also worked in the International Programs Center at UNCG helping international students overcome significant language barriers and improve pronunciation. The main reason I want to be a tutor is because I enjoy working with children and young adults and I enjoy the satisfaction of helping someone understand something in a new light and making learning not only informational but an enjoyable experience that is new every time. Hobbies
I am a very outgoing and fun loving person. I love to help people understand the material through hands-on learning and direct participation. If they are struggling in an area I won't move on until I am fully confident that they understand the material. I am a twin and I am transferring the UNC next year. I have a wonderful time teaching and love making connections with students in a positive way that makes the experience memorable. I don't smoke or drink and I make sure that any influence I may have on a person is a positive one.
