As a tutor, I can experiment with different teaching methods, finding what works best for the student. The goal is always to help them learn how to reason through the work that challenges them; I guide them to make meaningful inquiries. I tutor students in the subjects of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, developmental biology, general biology, genetics, social sciences, psychology, and also French and languages.I attended Furman University and have a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While there, I also took courses in chemistry and neuroscience. Right now, I work in University of Arizona's College of Medicine as a Research Specialist in the Neurology Department. I have been working on research which involves conducting neuroimaging analysis studying the ethnic differences in stroke. Tucson, Arizona is my home and I enjoy writing, sewing, fantasy, and being outdoors, as well as playing with Gabby, my 14 year old budgie.
