Justin Johnson is a percussionist and composer originally from Fieldale, Virginia. He has a Bachelors of Science in Music with an emphasis in Music Education & Performance from Radford University . While at Radford, Justin has participated in a number of ensembles including the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Jazztet Combo, Percussion Ensemble, and various chamber groups. He also participated in outside ensembles such as the Virginia Helmsmen Independent Percussion Ensemble, the Standing Room Only Jazz Orchestra, and Urban Essence. He is also a member of several organizations such as the National Association for Music Education (MENC) and the Percussive Arts Society (PAS). He was previous percussion instructor and arranger for Magna Vista High School and Pulaski County High School. Currently, Justin is pursuing his Masters Degree in Percussion Performance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is percussion instructor & battery arranger for George Washington High School. Justin has had the privilege of studying with Scott Allred, Daniel Boothe, Tim Bray, Michael Burritt, Teddy Holcomb, Allen Joanis, Kristopher Keeton, Fillippo Lattanzi, Robert Sandrel, Thomas Taylor, Paula Williams, Al Wojtera, and Nebojsa Zivkovic.
